The course of Pedagogy of FFC emphasizes the areas of special education (people with physical, mental, visual, and audio communication- related disabilities), pre-school education and administration, school supervision and educational guidance. As for the Social Sciences course, it instructs professionals able to analyze and explain social and community-related phenomena. The course of Philosophy provides the options of licentiate and bachelor’s degree, with basic and specifi c subjects for each of them. The course of Library Science is made up of theoretical, instrumental, and professionalizing subjects. For being integrated to a college with tradition in the educational area, the course of Speech Therapy of FFC emphasizes the educational function of the speech therapists. The courses of Archival Science, Physiotherapy, International Relations, and Occupational Therapy are more recent and are prominent for the quality of its faculty.


Several extension projects are developed by FFC. By means of the Teaching Center, professors and students help professors of preschool courses of the public education system in the improvement of the educational process. The Human Rights and Citizenship Center of Marília promotes research studies and actions in the area. The Sciences and Culture Center maintains an exhibition of the didactic collection and an experimental workshop. The Agricultural Research and Studies Center (Cepea) investigates issues related to the land, to the environment and to the social movements. The Human Communication Interdisciplinary Studies Center (Ceicomhu) serves patients with speech-language problems by means of the work of a multidisciplinary team. The Organized Work Urban Management and Research Group (Guto) develops actions with the purpose of integrating the research and social action in the prevention of violence. The Health and Education Studies Center (Cees) supports the development of teaching, research, and extension activities dedicated to the education of people with disabilities or with problems related to communication. Other extension projects: The Alternative University Preparatory Course of Unesp of Marília (Caum), The Education Program for Young People and Adults (Peja), The University and Historical Documentation Center of Marília (Cedhum) and The University Open to the Elderly (Unati).
