Student Exchange Program

Unesp has 140 international agreements with 28 countries. Students from our partner universities are welcome to participate in our international exchange programs. They receive total support from the International Office and advisors in each campus, who are responsible for giving advice and information on accommodation, local facilities, visas, among other important issues related to their stay in Brazil.

Housing and Campus Life

Students that come to Unesp will a find a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in each campus. There is a variety of housing options from campus residences to off campus shared and private accommodation, which is the most frequent option for the Brazilian students. Students will also find many activities outside the classrooms. Our campuses are structured with sports facilities, university restaurants, computing facilities, libraries and research labs.

Language requirements and programs

Portuguese is the language of instruction at Unesp. Some internship programs can be offered in English. Students must have sufficient knowledge of Portuguese or Spanish to be able to attend our courses. There are special courses for international students, such as the POFOL - Portuguese for Speakers of Other Languages and the Brazilian Studies course.
